“SenioriNET – NGO services network dedicated to elderly people” project is co-financed by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union, in the Grant Scheme for NGOs, Thematic Fund for Civil Society Participation – The Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program, has a duration of two years (2013-2015) and a total budget of CHF 251,102.25 of which CHF 223,481.00 represents the grant.
The “SenioriNET – NGO services network dedicated to elderly people” project aims to create the first national informal network of organizations active in services for the ageing field, especially those who provide home care. The limited capacity of NGOs in the field of services for the elderly regarding the cooperation with authorities and the promotion of the offered services leads to a low interest of authorities regarding supporting the policies of developing services for elderly, and by default to a limited or no access to services for elderly. This initiative aims to strengthen the long-term capacity of NGOs in the social sector and to support their active participation in improving strategies and policies that ensure an increased access to home care services for Romanian seniors.
Asociaţia Habilitas – CRFP is one of the initiators of this network with Confederaţia Caritas Romania (coordinator), Foundation Crucea Alb-Galbenă Romania, Asociaţia de Ajutor Mutual Bucureşti and Asociaţia Four Change.
