.
Coordinator: Asociatia Habilitas – Centru de Resurse si Formare Profesionala – Romania
Partner: CBNRM Networking, Norway
.
The project is funded from EEA Grants 2009-2014, Fund for Bilateral Relations. It is a follow-up of the project „Seniors – resources in the community: Volunteering at third age”, implemented between 01.04.2015 – 31.03.2016, by Asociatia Habilitas in partner-ship with CBNRM Networking, and funded by EEA Grants 2009-2014.
The aim of this project is to strenghten and to deepen the relations with the partner organization CBNRM Networking, and also with other NGOs, institutions and local community in Kristiansand, Norway. Another aim is to learn from the Norwegian experience, to transfer from Norway to Romania knowledge and models of good practice, to develop the competences and skills of project staff and seniors volunteers. At the same time, the project focuses on disseminating and sharing with our Norwegian partner CBNRM Networking and other Norwegian entities the results of the project „Seniors – resources in the community: Volunteering at third age”, which was financed by EEA and Norway Grants 2009-2014, NGO Fund, Engage Component, Volunteering Sub-component. This project substantially contributes to the Bilateral Relations Fund objectives, regarding the enhancement of the cooperation between Romanian NGOs and donor states, improvement of mutual understanding and sharing of their results. This project brings a complementary dimension to the project „Seniors – resources in the community: Volunteering at third age” – to learn from the concrete experience of the Norwegian experience and local good practice, what is volunteering in Norway, how NGOs and public authorities work with volunteers, how the senior community is organized and their volunteering models, and also about social services towards older persons in Norway.
The project includes a Study Visit in Kristiansand, Norway, between 4-6 April 2016. Four persons will participate in the study visit – project manager, senior volunteer, coordinator of the Seniors Volunteers Network and a representative of Social Services from Bucharest.
The project objectives are:
1. Consolidation of bilateral relations between Asociatia Habilitas CRFP and Norwegian organizations – CBNRM Networking as partner and other NGOs and institutions, through a 3 days study visit of the Romanian delegation to Kristiansand, Norway.
2. Transfer of experiences, knowledge and good practices in the field of volunteering (with focus on senior volunteering), functioning of volunteers networks, social pro¬tection and public-privat partnership, between Habilitas and organizations in Norway, through visits and meetings with different Norwegian stakeholders during the study visit.
3. The dissemination of results and main achievements of the project „Seniors – resources in the community: Volunteering at third age”, financed by the EEA and Norway Grants. To be done through translating into English the documents „Good Practices Guide” and „Local Strategy of Supporting Seniors Volunteering” developed by the project, and distributing this document to Norwegian stakeholders.
The Study Visit in Norway will be disseminated in Romania through different means – including articles, Newsletter, and websites.
