One of the main problems in long-term care services is\nthe lack of knowledge of professionals and direct care staff on symptoms of\ndementia, changes at the physiological, cognitive and behavioral levels and\ninterventions in activities of daily living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all the European countries, stakeholders of the long-term care sector\nhave developed educational solutions for training caregivers on knowledge,\nskills and competences about symptoms and performance in activities of daily\nliving with people with dementia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AppforDem\nis aimed at creating a set of open educational and multilingual resources on\ndementia, with the purpose of implementing these resources in the national VET\nprogrammes for apprentices and professional caregivers in long-term care\nservices (LTC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To define a methodological framework, based on a training curriculum about \u201cSymptoms and interventions for      people with dementia\u201d at EQF level 4.<\/li><li>To develop a set of contents and materials on symptoms and interventions for people with dementia.<\/li><li>To create and test a multilingual educational APP and a multilingual e-learning course about Dementia.<\/li><li>To propose the decision makers in the field of education the implementation of these resources in vocational      training programs at national level.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TARGET GROUPS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Caregivers,\nbasic care staff, nurses, and professionals in the long-term care services<\/li><li>Trainers\nand teachers in care educations<\/li><li>Students\nat care educations<\/li><li>Decision\nmakers<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The project will elaborate the\nfollowing products:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A proposal for an international\ntraining CV about \u201cSymptoms and\ninterventions people with dementia\u201d.<\/li><li>Learning content for caregiver of people with\ndementia.<\/li><li>Educational app available for free\nin GooglePlayStore (Android) and\/or AppleStore (iOS).<\/li><li>E-learning course available in <a href=\"https:\/\/ed-formacion.org\">https:\/\/ed-formacion.org<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PARTNERSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Asociaci\u00f3nEdadDoradaMensajeros\nde la Paz C-LM y Galicia.<\/em><\/strong> The Association is an important Spanish NGO created in 1962 to help\ndisadvantaged groups through humanitarian attention, support, rehabilitation,\ntreatment and social promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>AsociatiaHabilitas &#8211;\nCentru de ResursesiFormareProfesionala<\/em><\/strong>. Romania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>SOSU Oestjylland<\/em><\/strong> is the second largest social and\nhealth care college in Denmark. They provide different educational programs for\nsocial and health care institutions for elderly and disabled people and for\nhospitals and psychiatry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anziani e non solo\n(Italy<\/em><\/strong>)&nbsp; is a NGO working since 2004 in the field of\nsocial innovation, with a specific focus on management of projects and\nrealization of services and products in the field of welfare and social\ninclusion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AppForDem has been funded with support from the European Commission.
