Two Moons aims to develop education resources to inform and enhance older people\u2019s knowledge of their human rights and how these rights should operate in practice, equipping them with the tools to assert and claim their rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
THE OBJECTIVESARE: tocreate with older adults education resourceson human rights that reflect theirreality toempower older adults though educationon human rights to assertand claim their rights through knowledgeof complaints\u2019 procedures to shinea light on the challenges olderpeople\u2019 face in protecting their rights,making visible to policy makers, health +social care professionals, legal professions, human rights and advocacy groups where public institutionsare failing in their obligation toprotect older people\u2019s rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PROJECT OUTPUTS <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Theresources developed over the nexttwoyears will include: \u2018My HumanRights, My Well-Being\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Booklet retelling the stories and experiences of incidents where older peoplehave not had their rights met underthe ECHR and CRPD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
OurStories: Human Rights and Older People in Europe Two Moons<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Documentary Theatre and Talkback willprovide a medium for some of the stories collected to be dramatized and performed by community drama groups throughout the country. This will heighten awareness among the wider community including health and social care professionals, public representatives,family members of situations where the rights of older people are not upheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Listen to My Story\u2019 Audio will be a recording of the six dramatized monologues and can be used with the Guide to hosting the Two Moons<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Documentary Theatre and Talkback to deliver workshops on human rights awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
